DYSON Vacuum inventor Sir James Dyson interview

Learn how James Dyson made BILLIONS reinventing the vacuum in this rare interview. Dyson vacuum cleaners sell in over 40 countries and his company has annual sales of $1 BILLION each year.

Before achieving success, James built 5,127 prototypes of his ground breaking bagless dyson vacuum cleaner before getting it right. “Failing 5,126 times, you learn to enjoy your failures, because failure teaches you something. In order to overcome failure, you’ve got to understand the failure, and then be creative in order to overcome it and make something work,” says Dyson.

A major factor that sets this entrepreneur apart from others is he looks at experience as a very bad thing. James says: “I like very naive people who are willing to try something new, a lot of times experience can be a very bad thing.”

The latest product in the Dyson lineup is the energy efficient hand dryers called the ‘Dyson Air Bade’. The Dyson Airblade hand dryer dries your hands in 12 seconds rather than the 30 to 40 seconds of the standard electric hand dryer. Not only is it faster, but it’s also very energy efficient (green) and uses less than a quarter (25%) of the energy of a traditional hand dryer.
