Steve Nash Biography
Growing up in Canada, Steve spent his early years not on the basketball court, but out on the soccer field. In fact, he didn’t pick up a basketball until the age of 13 when he was in junior high school. Upon graduating High School, the major sports colleges didn’t want him, so he went on to become a super star at Santa Clara University in California.
Upon graduation, Steve entered into the 1996 NBA Draft and was the #15 pick by the Phoenix Suns basketball team. In 1998, Nash was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Then in 2004 Steve returned to the Phoenix Suns where he was named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) in the 2004-2005 season and then again during the ’05-’06 season. In 2012, Steve Nash signed on to play the starting point guard position for the Los Angeles Lakers wearing the number #10 jersey.
